Middlesex County College
Registration Procedure
Students who are 15 years of age and in their second marking period of their sophomore year (10th grade) of high school (or homeschoolers who identify as such) can participate in Middlesex College's High School Scholar's Program. Students may apply for up to 8 credits per semester. There is also an Accelerated Scholar's Program for Seniors (or homeschoolers who identify as Seniors). Seniors can take up to 10 credits in the Fall and Spring semesters. (Summer semesters may also be an option but might need approval.)
Students can take any course for which s/he meets the prerequisite. Placement testing may be required for certain courses.
Download the High School Scholars Application, choose you course(s), and obtain proper signatures of approval from a parent/guardian and your guidance counselor prior to submitting your application. For homeschoolers, a parent/guardian signs as guidance counselor. Leave the school stamp area blank if you apply as a homeschooler. For Accelerated Scholar Program, you can apply here after filling out the application form. When apply as homeschooler, please let the office know your homeschooler status, either via email or when you visit the office.
If the campus is open, completed applications can be submitted in person to the Office of K-12 Partnerships in Billy Johnson Hall, room 200. If closed due to COVID-19, email your high school scholars application and supporting documents to K12Partnerships@middlesexcc.edu for processing.
Students taking courses on-campus or online pay $125 per course regardless of number of credits, plus textbook costs.
